One of our young people, NH, has been engaging in football in the community since September 2024.

NH initially started training with a team at a local club, Ibis, but due to his age he was unable to play games for this team.

Despite this he did not give up and we sought a new team, Kendal United, which had availability for him to play matches with as well as train.

NH has demonstrated commitment to the team by rescheduling home visits around match fixtures to ensure his team is at its strongest.

NH’s performance in games has been described as “outstanding” by the coach which has given his confidence a huge boost.

NH now trains for football twice a week and plays games at least once a week alongside strengthening training at the gym to improve his overall fitness.
