Helen Bilsborrow
Helen is the Deputy Manager. Helen is a qualified Social Worker and worked in the field of Children and Families for 21 years, 7 years as a social worker and 14 years as a team manager. She has also been a social worker in a Children with Disabilities Team.
As Team Manager, Helen was responsible for the oversight and management of social work teams, working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ensuring the implementation and adhering to legislation, polices and procedures, and in ensuring quality assessments and reports. She has experience in care planning and the managerial oversight of children and young people in Local Authority Care, and in communicating with their families to ensure their inclusion. Helen has experience in setting up new teams following restructures, and in the recruitment and retention of staff teams.
She has been responsible for monthly supervisions of her team and also in performance management and development. Helen has represented Local Authority’s in multi-agency projects and locality planning, as well as taking the lead. Helen has experience of being a Registered Manager in a Family Assessment Residential setting, responsible for the overall running of the setting and staff performance, quality service to families and other stakeholders, and the lead for safeguarding.
Helen has a passion for working with vulnerable children and young people, and in facilitating the best opportunities for them to grow and develop and achieve their individual goals and aspirations.

Dominique Dawson
Dominique is an experienced Registered Manager of five years working with young people, young adults and children. However, Dominique’s experience was Built up from being rewarded a Support Worker role in 2007 right through to an Operations Manager, but also being in other roles in between such as Senior Support worker and Team Leader.
Dominique was one of the lead managers of the implementation of the winterbourne scandal in the planning and transitioning of young people back to their placing authority in 2016, leading multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe and well-planned transitions for young people to live in their forever homes.
Dominique won the Laing Buisson award in 2012 for best supported living in the UK after also winning the regional awards too. Dominique has won numerous regional awards for the support and care received friends’ young people, which children had nominated Dominique for.
Dominique's passion to enable young people to thrive and live a healthy and independent life lives on in all of her attributes in working with young people in which she is proud to have been a part of.

Jennifer Pratt
Jen is qualified to bachelors’ level in social work. She started her career working for the domestic abuse service as an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor supporting vulnerable adults and progressed her role within this service to working with children experiencing domestic abuse within the home undertaking 1:1 direct work and facilitating groups.
She joined Lancashire County Council Children’s Social Care in 2015 initially as a family support worker and stepped into a social work role within a month of employment. She worked as a social worker for 4 years carrying out generic work such as initial assessment, child in need, child protection and looked after children however throughout various restructures, primarily worked in the safeguarding team mainly working in child protection, court proceedings and adoption.
In 2019, she became a senior social practitioner and enhanced her skills in becoming a practice educator and being allocated students to learn and develop as part of their final placement. In 2021, she became a consultant social worker in the family safeguarding team continuing to develop newly qualified social workers, students, managing a complex caseload including high level proceedings with the addition of deputising the team manager, overseeing compliance and data, chairing strategy discussions and overseeing court work. Jen has had experience in frontline practice and overseeing and guiding practice ensuring good quality assessments, care plans and reports.

Febian is a medical doctor who graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University, Georgia. He has 3 years of work experience in the field of medicine. He has worked as a GP in several clinics in his hometown back in India. He has also worked as a Health Care Assistant in Adult Care homes and also as a Senior Health Care Assistant in nursing homes across Lancashire. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Public Health at the University of Central Lancashire. Aliya obtained Level 2 Health and Social Care and had ambitions to study paramedic science. This was interrupted due to family illness and so Aliya chose to pursue work in care. She worked as part of a crisis team with the elderly who were experiencing mental health issues and physical needs. She has been registered with an agency and has worked in women’s refuges. Aliya intends to continue working with vulnerable people and in particular enjoys working with children with additional needs.

Syed graduated in commerce in Pakistan. He was a carer for his parents in Pakistan 2018 to 2023. He had various employment role in Pakistan then moved to the UK and join the complete food group as a warehouse operator through the agency and finished in last year. After that he worked with star Tissue as a production operator in a night shift from 11/2023 till 3/2024. Yasmin Ali

Dhanuja was a nurse in India and completed my graduate at Holy cross college of nursing in 2016. Before that she used to do volunteer work along with people experiencing disasters like flood and landslides. Ndidiamaka is a goal-oriented professional who has dedicated major part of my life working in the healthcare sector. As a student, she participated in different medical outreaches in the rural areas of Nigeria to bring free healthcare to the less privileged.
