Tom Hayes Labour MP Bournemouth East visited Cambian Wing College!

Tom was welcomed by a number of our students and staff on his arrival.

He offered a chance for our young people to have an MP clinic session where they were able to ask questions.

Questions ranged from employment and application processes being fair for those with protected characteristics, curriculum and subject grades and how these impact on further education applications, safety with Bournemouth town centre along with a discussion surrounding right to remain and immigration. 

Tom stated that he was impressed by the young people’s commitment to their education and future and promised to attend again for another update on progress. 

Our young people felt listened to and that their questions were relevant to local issues and government initiatives.
