We decided to Explore ‘The Dinky Door Trail’ in Cambridge. We received a map through the post, which we had to then plot all the different locations on for us to then begin our adventure.
We were able to find so many different doors round Cambridge and they all have different stories behind them.
It was really interesting to read all the information on each door on the sheets we were given. We managed to walk nearly 4 miles on our adventure and even though we got drenched in rain one of our students have asked us to revisit this trip and complete the doors as they had a really good time and enjoyed discovering the doors and exploring round Cambridge.
We would all definitely suggest this as a lovely day out for all ages!!!
Words from our student:
“On Thursday 23rd January, I went and walked around Cambridge looking for some little doors that had been hand crafted by people. We walked nearly 4 miles to find our dinky little doors, and we still have more to find on another trip yet to come.
These dinky doors were so cute and there was so much detail in every single one of them. My favourite one was the book shop, because they just went so well together meaning the colours and great placing as it was right outside a book shop. I would happily do something like this again and think others will enjoy it as well.”
