Students were anxiously anticipating the hot release of gamers favourite FIFA 22 and were delighted that the school purchased it as a reward for good behaviour and to add another exciting element to our activity time.
Since the games first release in 1993, FIFA has expanded beyond a simulation of the sport of football and towards a simulation of its entire global culture, allowing our students to experience every aspect of the exciting game, whether that’s role-playing as a young professional scoring a tournament-winning goal for Barcelona or playing a 'friendly' game of football with friends and fellow students.
As well as a single player mode, there are also team matches you can play, helping our young people to develop new skills associated with team work, shared ideas and learning how to win or lose with dignity.
The games new modes are also helping our students to think creatively and while Paul our Headteacher is adamant the game has only improved thanks to the promotion of Hartlepool United back into the football league, our students are yet to be convinced that this is the true reason for their increased engagement and enjoyment of the game they’ve patiently been waiting all year for.
