For World Religion Day, Devon School visited Exeter Cathedral. The trip helped our students to see how places of worship like the Cathedral bring people together and reflect the beliefs and creativity of different times.
It made us think about how all religions share the human need for meaning, connection, and expression.
We were amazed by the detailed carvings, colourful stained-glass windows, and its massive vaulted ceiling, which is the longest of its kind in England.
We found out about its beginnings in the 12th century and how it has been a big part of the local community for hundreds of years, even surviving events like the English Civil War.
