The BTEC construction students and one of our younger students have volunteered to make some furniture for St Catherine’s Hospice.

Today they met with the volunteering team at the Hospice and discussed their designs and ideas, the volunteering team chose their favourites and the ideas which would benefit the Hospice Staff and residents. They were also given a tour of the hospice to see where their projects could be used.

The pupils left a good impression with all the staff and later we received the following email from the Hospice:

“It really was an absolute pleasure to meet you all and we are so grateful you have chosen to support Saint Catherine’s. I mentioned the ideas the lads had to our CEO and he is really excited to see what they come up with, he actually was really keen on the hedgehog house and the wishing well"

Pupils returned school eager to begin their new projects, we can’t wait to see their ideas come to life and to be installed at the Hospice!”
