Specialist Education

Students from Northampton school had the pleasure to meet and spend time with students from Germany.

Our Students engaged with their Earth plan where they aspire to be independent adults learning to build, construct, and grow their own produce to live independently and sustainably. “We are on a mission to bring about positive environmental change by inspiring hearts and minds, building communities, and sharing sustainable living practises”.

Staff and students at Northampton School have been inspired to facilitate positive change for the world-wide community and natural environment.

International relationships have been established, sharing culture, learning new skills and overcoming communication barriers.

Montessori School Westerwald is a school in Westerburg, a little town in Germany. Montessori School support children from primary to secondary school. The guiding principle is “Help me to do it myself" and so the development of children is directed towards self-activity and independence from the very beginning.

They consciously support the natural desire for self-reliance and independence. In doing so, they take into account the individual pace of development of the children and respect their person and their self-determination.

Students from Northampton School and Montessori School collaborated and created a large art piece consisting of a German Flag and the Union Jack flag together to mark this special day and making new friendships. The two schools celebrated the new partnership with a game of football at the end of the visit.
