Meet the Team
Head Teacher
Tom Clarke
In 2013 I took up a position as a teacher working in the Hereford school and in 2015 I was successful in applying for the position of Assistant Head Teacher. I was then the Deputy Head Teacher and I am now the Head Teacher. During this time I gained experience at all levels of school management including, training as a DSL, introducing a new teaching and assessment system across the core subjects and working with teachers to implement this; creating and overseeing pupil site and activity risk assessments; monitoring safeguarding with the Head; taking the lead on behaviour management across the school; mentoring teachers through QTS; supporting other schools within the company in a range of areas and implementing and overseeing a whole tracking system to monitor behaviour and engagement. All of which ensures that the school achieves the best possible outcomes for the pupils which has been recognised through previous Ofsted inspections.
Design Teacher
Claire Moulton
I have worked in both mainstream and SEMH educational settings for over 24 years. In addition to teaching Design Technology both at KS3 and KS4 delivering Textiles, Resistant Materials, Food and Graphic Design I had whole school responsibilities for delivering Careers Education and Guidance and Work-Related Learning (Alternative Provisions) across the schools I worked in.
Whilst teaching and delivering a range of qualifications to ensure pupils leave CHS with an externally recognised qualification in Food which suites their individual educational pathway, I also undertake the Examination Administration.
Science Teacher
Claire Noble
I am the science teacher at Cambian Hereford School, delivering Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons from KS3 to KS4, resulting in a range of qualifications including ASDAN, Entry Level Certificate and GCSE. I have been teaching for over 15 years, and taught science in a secondary school in Swindon for 12 years before moving to Herefordshire and teaching in a primary school for a few years. I have also been fortunate to have the opportunity to teach horseriding in America during a summer, and teach English in China for a year whilst I was at university in Brighton training to be a teacher. I love carrying out investigation work in science lessons, even if they don’t always go to plan!
Maths and PE Teacher
Joshua Hunt - QTLS: Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills
I have been at Cambian Hereford School for 4 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute here! I teach Maths and Physical Education to our KS3 and KS4 students. I have previously worked at another Cambian school, Southwick Park, which specialised in Autism support. I am very passionate about working with children and young people who have special educational needs and mental health difficulties. In my spare time I like to play football and spending time with family and friends.
English Teacher
Ruth Hayward
I am the English teacher at Cambian Hereford School and have been working for Cambian since April 2019. Before moving to Herefordshire I was based in South Wales, having completed my PGCE at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Since completing my teacher training, I have worked in a number of different schools in both England and Wales, and within a range of education settings.
Humanities Teacher
Lesley Ravenscroft
I started teaching in 1987, having worked in Foundation, Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and university sectors; this is the best job ever!!! My first degree was in Theology, but, after doing a dyslexia qualification, I became interested in psychology and did another degree in that, going on to study a Masters and a Doctorate in a subject which is endlessly fascinating. I love working with young people and draw inspiration from their passion and enthusiasm for changing the World.
PSHE Teacher
Joseph Reynolds-Marshall - BA in Sport and Physical Education, Post Graduate Certificate in Education

Pastoral Manager
Norma Tisdale
I have worked at Cambian Hereford School for over ten years. My role is Pastoral Manager, which means I work with everyone at the school in ensuring our students are safe, happy, involved and able to perform to their potential. I also help them integrate with other students and make sure any problems are spotted and dealt with. I am the key communication point between home and school and support us all working together to ensure progression and engagement of students.
School Administrator
Bonnie Stewardson
I am the School Administrator and I started working at the school in November 2023. No two days are the same for me and I deal with a wide range of tasks. Some of those tasks are balancing the petty cash, reporting maintenance issues, weekly reporting to Head Office, keeping the files and records for the pupils and staff in accordance with GDPR. As we are a small team, I also get asked to help invigilate exams, and generally get invited into classrooms to view and taste pupil’s work.
