Safeguarding Statement
The parents of Hartlepool School students should be aware that the school has a duty to safeguard the promote the welfare of the pupils. This responsibility necessitates a safeguarding policy and the school may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. This policy complies with guidance from the DfE and the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). The School recognises it is an agent of referral and not of investigation. Anyone can make a referral to children's social care, if necessary. The designated safeguarding leads (DSL) for the school is Paul Barnfather.
