Cambian Hartlepool School made the annual pilgrimage to the home of football to take in the England v Greece Nations league game at Wembley.
While in the big smoke pupils took the opportunity to take in some sights with the short time they had, a quick tube ride across to see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Using the UBER Boat headed East on the Thames to take a glimpse at The London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe, St Pauls Cathedral, London Bridge and HMS Belfast disembarking at the Tower of London with a quick walk to Pudding Lane to take in a bit of history on the Great Fire of London.
A quick refreshment stop at Greggs (standard!) and it was time to make our way to the game only to see England come unstuck against former European Champions Greece. A dire game which didn’t dampen the spirits of the young people who all really enjoyed the experience and opportunity to visit the capital and are already planning their next trip back down South….
