Meet the Team
Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Jenni Lees
Jenni started her career within Education in Offender Learning, embarking on a successful 10-year career working with the most disadvantaged adults within the community within a variety of roles, including Funding and Data Manager, Teacher, and Curriculum Manager.
Following this, Jenni spent 3 years working with young people in a mainstream school setting with social, emotional and mental health challenges who had attendance and behavioural difficulties, supporting these students to remove and overcome their barriers to learning and to access their curriculum.
From here, Jenni continued to support the most vulnerable of young people, working as Vice Principal within an Alternative Provision, before joining Cambian in 2022 within the Complex Trauma/Sexual Trauma portfolio as a Deputy Headteacher.
Jenni worked alongside the team and the Headteacher here to secure their Ofsted judgement of ‘Good’ and also leant her experience to other schools within Cambain and Caretech, before starting at Chesham House School in May 2024 as Headteacher.
Deputy Headteacher, SENCO and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
Jo Williams
Joining the Chesham House School team in June 2024 as our Deputy Headteacher, Jo also leads on our Science curriculum. Jo has brought a huge wealth of knowledge to the team, having over 13 years’ teaching experience within Sexual Trauma and Complex Trauma schools.
Jo’s extensive teaching experience has led her to support a number of the Cambian and Caretech schools to deliver quality first teaching and learning and to develop their curriculums to best support the needs of their young people. Prior to this Jo started her career working as a Residential Care Worker, working with the most vulnerable of young people and supporting them to feel safe and secure. Jo has taught a variety of subjects and specialises in both Maths and Science.
Pastoral Manager
Richard Cooney
Richard joined the Chesham House School team in July 2024 as our Pastoral Manager, and he also leads on our Maths curriculum.
Most recently working within the Cambian Sexual Trauma portfolio as a Teacher, Richard brings a huge depth of experience to the team, having over 4 years of experience working within Cambian’s learning and development team, delivering safeguarding, behavioural support and child exploitation training to Cambian homes and schools.
Richard’s passion in keeping the community safe led him to the role of Police Officer and then to a role within the National Counter Trafficking Service, where he supported victims of trafficking and advocating for their needs as well as writing and delivering training for professionals to increase awareness of child exploitation. Richard also brings years of experience within Teaching Assistant and Residential Support Worker roles.

Emmeline Copsey is the Lead Teacher at Chesham House School and has worked at the school since 2015. She has many years’ experience of working with young people who are challenging and from difficult backgrounds from working as next steps tutor for the Prince’s Trust.
She is a duel specialist and alongside her PGCE has a Creative Imaging degree specialising in Illustration. She is also British sign language qualified to a level 2 and has achieved ESOL as well as a number of other qualifications.
Emmeline teaches Art and incorporates many therapeutic approaches in her lessons such as drawing and talking therapy.
She is proud to be a part of the team that provides creative, engaging, and bespoke learning experiences for the students in her care.

Termly Governance Board meetings are held at Cambian Chesham House School to ensure that the management of the school is closely scrutinised and held to account in all areas of responsibility.

The Governance Board contain key individuals from outside and within the school who attend this meeting each term and parental and staff feedback is always welcomed.
