The current isolation policy will apply until the 16th August ‘21. If, after the 19th July, an individual is identified as a close contact they should self-isolate and order a PCR test. Where an individual is identified as a close contact, they will be advised to take a PCR test as soon as possible. From the 16th August, close contacts of positive cases, who are children, will not be required to self-isolate but will be advised to take a PCR test. If the PCR test returns a positive result they must self-isolate and access remote education during term time. Self-isolation is not required while awaiting the result of the PCR test. Those individuals who are symptomatic should self-isolate, not attend school and book a test.
