Cassandra Pollitt

Cass is Principal at Cambian Wing college and has a wealth of experience in school improvement, special educational needs, pastoral care and behaviour management. Her previous roles have included Head of Education, SENCo, Local Authority consultancy, she is an Advanced Skills Teacher and licensed ‘Thrive’ practitioner and she has held senior leadership roles in both secondary mainstream schools and within special educational needs establishments, including those specialising in mental health and autism. Her child-centred approach puts the students' individual needs firmly at the heart of the support packages provided at Cambian Wing College.
Assistant Principal of Education
Magdalena Lawrence
Magdalena Lawrence is the Assistant Principal of Education. Magda has over 20 years’ experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs both as a Teacher of Psychology, PSHE and Travel and Tourism.
Key elements of her role include creating and diversifying curriculum pathways for our young people that promote independence, linked to their aspirations and prepare them for adulthood. She also prepares and delivers our education staff continual development programme, which she is particularly passionate about. Some of Magda’s key educational achievements are acquiring her BA (Hons) Post Compulsory Education and Training and a Masters in Psychology.
As a leader and teacher, Magda is committed to creating and maintaining an environment and curriculum that encourages our young people to flourish. Most importantly, she strongly believes that education is truly empowering when building a life of fulfilment and belonging.
Assistant Principal: Admissions & Transition / Core Lead
Louise Sattin
Louise has a wealth of experience having worked in Health and Social Care for 11 years and in SEN education for the past 10 years. Louise's previous roles have included Registered Manager and Community Support Services Manager. Louise is committed to supporting initial referrals for young people through our robust admission process and for those that transition forward to a placement at the college.
As one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads, Louise wants to ensure that all our young people can achieve their personal best, being happy, safe and well whilst attending Cambian Wing College.
Registered Manager - Milton Road
Bruno Ramos
Bruno shares the Head of Care role and is the Registered Manager of Milton Road.
Over 11 years’ experience working in Health and Social Care and residential care both with young adults and children.
Previous roles have been centred around supporting individuals with Autism, learning disabilities and other complex needs.
Bruno joined Cambian in 2017 as an Assistant Team Manager, becoming Registered Manager in 2020. He has completed level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
Bruno has a passion for quality of care being person centred and supporting the young people to achieve their goals and be part of the community.
“You said, We did” is Bruno’s ethos and is committed to young people’s voice being at the heart of the support we offer.
Registered Manager - Kings Park Road
Vicky Marsden
Vicky started with Cambian Group in 2006 as Support Worker. Vicky is now Registered Manager at Kings Park Road with additional Head of Care responsibilities. She has accomplished her Level 5 in Leadership and Management Diploma.
Vicky is a passionate individual, who has the young people’s wellbeing at the forefront of what she strives for. She relishes her role, excels at it and is committed to the service.
Vicky enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, hiking and camping in her spare time.
Business Finance Manager
Karen Fielding
Karen is the Business Finance Manager at Cambian Wing College. She has a background of Payroll/Finance and has worked in SEN Education for the past 8 years. Previous roles have included Student Administrator and Payroll Administrator.
Karen is currently studying for her Diploma in School Business Managers qualification. Karen relishes the variety of the role and takes pride in finding financial solutions to enhance the students and staff time at theCollege. Personal interests include dog walking, European travel and movies.
Behaviour Support Lead
Chelsea Hicks
Chelsea Hicks is the Behaviour Support Lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at Cambian Wing College and has been a part of the team (in various roles) at Cambian Wing College since 2008.
Chelsea has 17 years’ experience in Education/Pastoral Support/Positive Behaviour Support and Safeguarding. Chelsea is primarily based at the college site, but frequently visits the residential homes and offsite activities in the community with our young people.
Chelsea particularly passionate about helping to create and develop a safe environment and a positive culture of respect for our young people in which they can thrive.
Care Manager
Rhys Wyn Jones
Rhys started with the Cambian Group in 2016 as a Support Worker, in 2017 he was appointed as Deputy Manager and in 2024 he became the Care Manager of Pear Tree House. Rhys has accomplished a first-class degree in Health & Social Care from Cardiff University which he utilises in his day to day running of the home.
Rhys is passionate with supporting the young people to be as independent as possible, focusing on a person-centred approach and ensuring their goals and aspirations are met to enhance their future prospects.
In his spare time Rhys likes to spend time running, reading, spending time with his family, football (Manchester United) and of course Rugby as a proud Welsh man.
Governance Board
Termly Governance Board meetings are held at Cambian Wing College to ensure that the management of the school is closely scrutinised and held to account in all areas of responsibility.
