Due to a number of differing factors in December last year, it was unfortunately not possible to celebrate the Christmas period in the way we had hoped. However, we were not going to let this defeat us and after a month’s delay the staff and students were finally able to come together for some Christmas festivities in the New Year!
The ‘Late, Late Christmas Show’, as it had now been called, was fabulous as always. The Post 16 students were responsible for the setting up of the day, laying the tables, decorating the room and also serving pudding.
One of the older students spent the morning in the kitchen helping prep the Christmas meal and then, along with some willing helpers, served dinner to everyone. We even had Father Christmas helping out at taxi time – and a brilliant job he did too.
Christmas jumpers had an extra outing and staff got into the spirit during an after-school session.
