The Wettest Classroom on Earth

In June 2019, Students and Staff from Cambian Devon school participated in the Wettest Classroom on Earth expedition, part of Extreme Classrooms. Crewing a Baltic Trader on legs two and three of the expedition to sail the vessel around the entire British Isles, students first sailed from Fowey in southern Cornwall to Poole, Dorset on leg two. Leg three and a new crew then sailed from Poole to Ipswich, which included a 28 hour nonstop journey from Cowes on the Isle of White to Ramsgate in extremely stormy conditions. A wonderful and challenging experience that has built resilience, confidence and self-esteem.
