It's that time of year again and students from Cambian Scarborough School have been busy finding creative ways to raise money for Children in Need. The 3 Year 11 students, who are currently striving towards their Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award, decided to make an effort to raise money for the charity. In doing so, they are also completing the charity module of their award.
On the first day, the students ran stalls including: a bake sale, tombola, 'guess the sweet', 'pin the hair on the bald patch' and 'sponge the head'.
Day 2 came with even more excitement when the students planned a sponsored treasure hunt all around the site, with the option of dressing up like a pirate, of course!
In the end, the Year 11s raised a whopping £174.26 for Children in Need.
Everyone had a fantastic few days, and the students can now tick another box off the list in the run up to their Silver Award. Well done!
