Recently, a group of staff and young people from Southlands School climbed the O2. Their aim is to get every young person in the school over the top of the O2 by the end of the year, raising money for Cancer Research.
Mark Stocker, our Head of Inclusion & Engagement, is leading the drive and says, "many of the children involved have overcome a number of fears and anxieties to complete the challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK and we have so far raised £412, which is increasing. This has proved to be really positive for developing staff/student relationships and we will hope to have got the whole school through by the end of the Summer term this year. A huge well done to everyone for their efforts."
A total number of 18 young people have completed the climb all accompanied for the day by a member of staff each.
Well done, guys!
