Comic relief will take place on Friday, 15 March 2019 and in order to support this worthwhile cause, I am very pleased to inform you that Somerset School will be organising a rowing challenge on Tuesday, 12th March using indoor rowing machines kindly donated by Concept 2.
The challenge is for the rowing machines to be used constantly throughout the day and for students and staff to row collectively 21 miles, which is the equivalent to rowing across the English Channel. Students and staff will work together to contribute to the total miles rowed. No distance is to great or too small too get involved, every meter and mile counts!
All monies raised will go towards Comic Relief and any additional donations that you wish to make will be gratefully added to the funds raised via our 'JustGiving' fundraising page. I am sure you will agree that this is an excellent opportunity for students to make a significant, positive difference to the lives of others across the country and support those who are less fortunate than themselves.
