Beverley School recently had a Russian themed day, where students created some brilliant landscape silhouettes of the Moscow Kremlin and tasted some traditional Russian delicacies. They tried blinis (Russian pancakes made from buckwheat flour and served with sour cream), stroganoff (sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce with sour cream) and chocolate salami (a chocolate sausage that resembles real salami, especially when it is sliced).
All the students had a great time, learning about Russian culture and trying something new.
See some of their lovely drawings below!
