Potterspury Lodge School’s students and staff have been celebrating record breaking results which are the highest ever recorded in the school’s 65 year history. Students recorded an 100% pass rate in Advanced Subsidiary (AS), GCSE, and Vocational qualifications. A stunning 72.70% of our students achieved English and Maths GCSE Grades 9-4 against the national average of 2.40% for all special schools and 65% for maintained schools. This was complemented by 27.30% achieving Grades 9-5 in GCSE English and Maths against the national average of 1.00% for all special schools.
Among the students celebrating were Darius who gained seven GCSEs in Mathematics (7), English Language (6), Double Science (66), History (5), French (5), and Music (4) together with a vocational qualification in Food Safety. Darius became the first ever student from the school to gain the English Baccalaureate accreditation.
Samuel was awarded six GCSEs in English Language (6), History (6), Media (6), Mathematics (5) and Double Science (55) together with a vocational qualification in Physical Education. Kaiydan gained three GCSEs in English Language (6), Mathematics (5), and Media (5) together with three vocational passes in Food Safety, Science, and Physical Education. Amelia became only the second ever student in the school’s history to gain an AS qualification, having been awarded a D grade in Mathematics.

“After eighteen months that have witnessed turbulence and unprecedented challenges for all across the education fraternity, it was a privilege to come together to celebrate these stunning results with our students, their families and the whole staff team on Thursday morning. This set of results is testament to our student’s determination and courage against every personal and academic barrier placed in their way over the last 18 months, together with the hard work and belief of our staff, who have ensured that our students have surpassed all expectations from individual starting points to achieve these stunning results”.
