Hill House, one of our specialist residential autism schools is helping to raise awareness for World Autism Awareness Week on Thursday 30th March.
Our young people and teachers want to invite us all into their wonderful world, and give us a sneaky peek through their window by show us the exciting activities they have planned.
All the young people will come together to produce ‘a window into our world’ display, where they will be cutting out photos of themselves completing an activity. Each of them will then choose an object that they like, which will be included in the bubble above their photo.
All our young people’s faces and favourite objects will be added to the display and this will hang up on the window display in the art room. Below the window, it will say ‘remember its okay to be different’.
Besides the window display, our young people will be taking parts in lots of other thrilling activities such as sensory sessions in the exciting sensory room, an animal assault course in the OT room and messy playtime in the hub!
We hope you all have a wonderful day and we cannot wait to see the pictures already!
