Careers Week at HHS 2023
Hill House students enjoyed a careers themed week where they explored and learnt about a whole range of different job roles.
A pop-up restaurant provided an opportunity to be a waiter for the day and cooking demonstrations provided the chance to learn new skills.
Students ran a farmers market in the school allotment where everyone was able to come and buy fruit and vegetables that had been grown and there was even an allotment themed treasure hunt.
Students learnt how to write a CV using their Talk Pad device to add their interests and choices and some young people even attended a mock job interview.
The week enabled students to understand, experience and interact with the world of work and provided fun and interesting activities supporting the young people to develop their Independence, Resilience, Self – Regulation, Communication and Discovery skills.
