Here at Hartlepool School, as part of or BTEC unit ‘Research’, we have researched the local area, including a V.I.P tour of the Hartlepool United football ground.
We looked at the club’s history and the Hartlepool’s hall of fame, we went into the dug outs where the manager sits, and into the changing rooms (home and away). We got to sit in the commentary box and go into the executive box where the trophies are held. The students and the staff ‘had a ball’.
Alongside this, for our BTEC unit in research, we visited the Hartlepool Historic Quay, William Grey Library and Museum.
We found it so much more interesting to visit places when carrying out research, rather that just doing it from the comfort of a computer screen.
