Students can benefit educationally and emotionally from a school therapy dog. Contact with a dog can increase their understanding of responsibility and can develop empathy and nurturing skills. In addition to these benefits, students take great enjoyment from interaction with a dog.
Daisy is a very important member of the school community and spending time with her is incredibly valuable to some of our students. Daisy works between both the school sites and loves joining the students for their Forest School sessions, Daisy recently joined students overnight on their Duke of Edinburgh Expedition on Dartmoor and joins in with all school events.
