Our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh students have successfully completed their expedition. On the first day they walked an impressive 17km on our local coastal path.
Once completing the walking element of their expedition students were required to set up camp for the night and cook their evening meal.
The students worked as a teamto set up their tents and equipment and then used the skills they had developed in Forest School sessions to set up a campfire.
They then cooked a delicious campfire stew for themselves and the staff before toasting marshmallow and making s'mores!
For the second day of their Duke of Edinburgh Expedition, our students had to navigate a different landscape with a new set of challenged. They walked an impressive 13km, taking their total over the two days to 30km!
