For Black History Month this year our students looked at why we celebrate black history and the people in history who stood up for the rights of Black people. Our students were then given the opportunity to research a person of colour to create a piece of work to show their importance. Some of our students were able to recreate recipes from Black Culture and enjoyed sharing them with other staff and students. Two of our older students used their break times to create an assembly educating other students on Black History Month and then delivered this to the school community.
