In order to raise awareness of bullying, Devon School took part in a number of whole school bullying activities.
In PSHE students took part in a workshop with the theme ‘What is Bully vs What is Banter’. Students looked at definitions of bullying and banter and worked to understand the role that banter plays in bullying.
In English students covered a topic on speech writing in which they were tasked to write a speech that they could present to the whole school on how they think schools could tackle bullying.
Our whole school assembly was led by some of our older students who role played different scenarios of bullying and this was used as a discussion point on what makes bullying.
We also held a whole school open forum where students raised any concerns or ideas they had in relation to bullying at Devon School.
As a school we also all took part in odd sock day.
