Cambian Scarborough School is an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school, providing specialist education for up to 18 students, aged 8 – 18 years.
Our young people have been keeping very busy and recently enjoyed an educational visit to St Martin’s Church in Scarborough as part of their religious education.
The beautiful Victorian church was built in 1845 and was designed by George Frederick Bodley from Hull and exhibits designs by famous artists Rosetti and William Morris.
Father David took the young people around the church looking at different themes of water, ships and oil.
It was very informative and the students were allowed to ring the church bell, as well as stand at the pulpit. They even sang in the choir stalls which were near the alter.
After the visit some of our young people wrote letters to Father David to say thank you for their trip!
How lovely!
