Cambian Home Tree School recently organised a sponsored walk to raise money for the West Norfolk Mind charity.
West Norfolk Mind is an independent local charity, promoting positive mental health and social inclusion within the community. They provide a variety of resources for people with a mental health issue, their families and friends. The charity also aims to support people to build a meaningful life for themselves and inspire hope for recovery, with or without the continuing presence of mental health problems.
Our young people became aware of the charity and the amazing work they do through an assembly presentation that was made by volunteer coordinator, Zena Plenty.
The students were so moved by her presentation and decided that they wanted support the organisation and contribute to all the efforts they make in what needs to exist within a community setting.
The young people performed the sponsored walk and raised a very impressive £150 for the charity!
A big thank you all the students, staff and community members who supported this venture.
