We make it a priority to look after all of our children, foster parents and staff alike and understand that quality and availability of support is key to helping you manage the children in your care adequately. The better support you receive means you’ll be able to provide your foster child or young person with better quality care as well.
There will always be someone to talk to, day or night as we offer 24/7 support so we’re always there to listen and support you. We carefully match the individual needs of the children and young people looking for homes to make sure they’re a good match with your skills, personal circumstance and experience so the support and training you receive will be tailored to both you and your foster child’s needs. We also understand that although fostering is hugely rewarding, you also need time off to recharge and take a break, that’s why we offer 21 days paid respite (holiday) per year.
We encourage our Foster Parents to meet regularly at their local office to learn from one another, share experiences and build friendships and a local support team. The monthly meetings help you build a strong support network and allow you to ask questions, many of our members of staff have fostered themselves so really do understand.
